- Postgraduate researcher, Department of Chemistry, University of Manchester (2025-)
- BA (Hons) Medicinal Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin (2020-2024)
Research Interests
Aparna’s research project is based on the development of adaptable stimuli responsive ice binding materials.
She has experience in polymer chemistry and nano chemistry as part of her final year project and internships. Her final year project was on the fabrication of dynamic biocompatible polymer networks for assembly and tumour responsive release. She has done research internships during her undergraduate degree on the anti-icing properties of arctic animal hairs and fabrication of anti-icing surfaces, and on the photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide into fuels using magnetic nanoparticles.
