Research Interests

  • Jungyeon’s research is on polyampholytes as cryopreservatives. Previously, she was a postdoctoral research associate in the group of Dr Sam Jones at the University of Manchester working on polymers with broad-spectrum antiviral properties (Polym. Chem, 2024). Jungyeon completed her PhD at the University of Warwick in the group of Prof. Remzi Becer in 2022. Her research focused on the synthesis of poly (2-oxazoline) based graft copolymers under the sponsorship of Infineum UK Ltd. (Macromol. 2022, Macromol. 2022, Polym. Chem. 2020). Prior to undertaking her PhD, she completed her MSci degree in Chemistry at University College London in 2015 (Angew. Chem.2016) and worked as an industrial chemist in South Korea until 2018.
