Research Interests

Freddy’s research is focused on the development of glassy polymer materials to stabilise biologics in the dry state, enabling long term room temperature storage of proteins and other sensitive biomolecules. His work seeks to offer an alternative solution to conventional cryopreservation.

He has a background in biomaterials, cell biology and computer science. At the University of Manchester, he developed a novel CellProfiler-based computational pipeline to assess the osteogenic properties of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells on different scaffold materials.
