Research Interests
Shruti’s specific areas of interest, and training, lie in the use of polymers and nanomaterials for biotechnological applications. Her research project is based on developing strategies for high-throughput glycan-analysis using nanoparticle libraries. Her project includes preparation of glycosylated nanoparticles with the intention of making them distributable, and reproducible.
She had hands-on experience in both nanochemistry and polymer chemistry as part of her Master’s dissertation and internship, respectively. Her master’s dissertation dealt with an intensive investigation on the role of CTAB surface coverage on GNR which was attempted to understand the mechanism of interaction of amine-modified ssDNAs with GNR followed by optimizing the system to get high fluorescence enhancement.
