Research Interests
Zishan Li’s research focuses on advancing reversible deactivation radical polymerization techniques (such as ATRP and RAFT) for the creation of biofunctional materials. He completed his PhD at University College Dublin, where his project cantered on elucidating the mechanisms of Cu-based reversible deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP) and its applications in the controlled polymerization of multivinyl monomers (Macromolecules 2023, Journal of Polymer Science 2023, Chinese Journal of Polymer Science 2023). Before his PhD, Zishan completed a Master’s in Polymer Science at Loughborough University, with research focused on predicting the long-term service life of elastomers for sealing applications.
